Woodsman Chainsaw Carrying Case is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sometimes a picture is worth more than a thousand words This is one of those cases - literally. I am not sure why there is no picture showing where the tools are supposed to go. Yes even a monkey can eventually figure out where the T-handle is supposed to fit, try putting the idle adjust screwdriver away or a file if so desired. Why is there not enough room to store at least one bottle of 2 stroke, a quart of chain oil and a slot for a spare chain inside. I am not sure this was designed in Germany - it certainly has room/possibilities for improvement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so good for the Battery Saws I was disappointed that the Woodsman is ONLY designed for the Gas saws. I thought that it would be great for my new Battery Saw. BUT the bar cover is MUCH too long and doesn't fit well with the battery bars. I have had other carrying cases and they have been rigid and stable. This one is NOT. The bar cover does NOT lock into the box front as far as I can determine. (No instructions for proper use, not that I would think that I would need them, but...)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic handle broke The plastic handle broke off the case for my 26" saw and there is no replacement part.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has worked great for me I bought this over 10 years ago for my wood boss and it has held up very well. It's orange color faded to yellow but still does what I need it to. I usually keep a spare chain and a rag inside with the saw. I put a stihl tool in the cutout on the bar guard along with a screw driver in the the hole on top of the guard. It's nice for storing your saw in the garage or putting it in the back of the truck and having everything protected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works The case fits my 251 fine and i have enough room for a 8oz bottle of oil my file 2 extra chains and a few shop rags the chain tool fits in the bar cover perfectly for everyone saying it doesnt have enough storage who wants to lug a suitcase through the woods!!! Only issue ive noticed is the bar cover is tight and everytime i take it off i find strands of shaved plastic from the chain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only option ! Already have two of these cases , had to fix hinges on both. Replaced with piano hinges and small bolts an nuts. Wanted case for new stihl 193 but they now only have one size which poorly fits smaller saws. Purchased but more by default than anything else

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fits a saw but ... This case is acceptable for a mid size saw MS362 or similar but does not give much room for extra chains sharpening gear, etc. if you have larger felling spikes it's a tight fit. For smaller saws it's overally bulky and will not fit a top handle saw like a MS150 or MS201 particularly well, sloppy and inertia brake hits lidI agree with others comments regarding the plastic hinge not being reliable over time. The improved latches are very high quality and work well.Sthil used to make a square black case that worked great for both types of saws and also accommodated larger models well. I have one and wish I'd bought more at the time ,early 2000's.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not great. Not a good example of German engineering. The hinge is flexible plastic and is an early failure point especially if the case has extended exposure to the direct sun. A true pinned hinge would be much better. Just enough room inside for my Farm Boss, a couple of spare chains and a six ounce bottle of fuel mix oil. Larger saws, less room! Stihl should make a smaller case for arborist saws and saws like the MS170. Easier to store, less bulky, easier to carry to job site.
